Miss Miami Valley: Now Accepting Applications
.JPG) Click the flyer to enlarge it and read the contact info.
I was Miss Miami Valley back in... 2004, I think? I can attest that Executive Director Ronda Morris is one of the sweetest people in the Miss Ohio system, and she looks the part! If Matel were to make an Pageant mom/grandma/ED Barbi doll, it would be Ronda!
The fact that the pageant is held outside at the Montgomery County Fair in Dayton is a bonus, if you ask me. When it's over, there are elephant ears to either eat in celebration, or drown your sorrows in sugar! ;) Not to mention, it's good practice for the many appearances at fairs and festivals that Miss Ohio makes.
The application deadline is August 21st!

The new Miss Teen USA, Maryland's Kami Crawford

Kamie was selected into the medical program for the Congressional Student Leadership Conference at Georgetown University and is currently an Honor Roll student at her high school. She hopes to one day become a world-renowned dermatologist and have her own skincare and cosmetics line. In addition, Kamie donates her time and enthusiasm by giving back to her community. Through the “adopt a family” program, Kamie coordinates donations and deliveries to families who are less fortunate. She also volunteers to raise funds and awareness for Paige’s Run (5K run for Cystic Fibrosis) and the American Heart Association, in tribute to her late grandmother.

STREAMING LIVE RIGHT NOW: Best of Luck to Bridget Linton, Miss Ohio Teen USA!
Miss Teen USA snuck up on me! The finals are tonight, streaming live online from the Bahamas. If you're not attending Miss Greater Cleveland, tune in at www.missteenusa.com, www.seventeen.com or ustream.tv. They're starting RIGHT NOW! 8 p.m. EST.
Best of luck to Ohio's Teen USA, Bridget Linton, a freshman at the University of Akron, majoring in Broadcast Journalism. Based on this bio that I found here, someone needs to track her down and convince her to compete at Miss Ohio (America):
"Her greatest love is Irish dancing. As a six-time world qualifier and medal holder, Bridget has competed all over North America, Ireland and Scotland. She believes that dancing has given her the poise, discipline, confidence and competitive spirit that has followed her throughout her life. Bridget is a dance instructor and tutor at the O’Hare School of Irish Dance.
A 2009 graduate of Green High School, Bridget was a member of National Honor Society, the Dean’s List for post-secondary studies, Student Council, Yearbook, Musical Theater, and Spanish Club. She was also Cheerleading Captain, Dance Team Captain, Varsity Track, and Homecoming Queen. In high school, Bridget volunteered a number of hours for such causes as Toys for Tots, Battered Women’s Shelter, Volley for the Cure, Kick for the Cure, Relay for Life, and much more."

Best of Luck to the Miss Greater Cleveland & Cuyahoga County Program!
Tonight in the Imperial Ballroom of the Shriners building in Broadview Heights three crowns will be given away, two Miss and one Teen! The pageant begins at 7 p.m. Be sure to check out their new WEBSITE. Sylvia and "Merf's" outgoing ladies were both very successful at Miss Ohio.
Miss Greater Cleveland, Ashley Warholic is a ballerina who studies Marketing at Baldwin Wallace College. In her second year competing at Miss Ohio she was the fifth highest scholarship recipient, racking up $3,400 for awards including Non-semifinalist Interview and CMN Miracle-maker!
was definitely a dark horse contestant this year! She is a vocalist and Musical Theatre major at Kent State University. In her fist year at state, Meggie was a Top 10 Semifinalist! Ashley and Meggie exuded charm and likability this summer in Mansfield; they were both so elegant in their evening gowns but fun, fun, fun in swimsuit. I would be shocked and disappointed if both of these ladies don't compete in Miss Ohio again!
